Platformplus RMS v1.0.26.04

RMS now recognises a brokerage file it has already imported, even if the file has been renamed, moved to another folder or imported from a different computer
The warning names the earlier import – number, period, date imported, file and total – so you can check before deciding
Importing a file anyway now requires typing the earlier import number, and that decision is recorded against the new import with your user name
A genuinely different file taken from a folder you have used before now gives a note rather than stopping the import
The force import setting no longer switches off duplicate checking – it now applies to the brokerage date only
A brokerage import that cannot complete an income split now stops and names the account, instead of reporting success and leaving income undistributed
Licensing problems are now recorded in enough detail to be diagnosed without a call

Deleting a fee rule no longer switches off an unrelated fee belonging to a different office
Fees that have already been charged once can now be unticked, and their rule deleted
RMS now tells you when a change could not be saved, instead of closing as though it worked
Rules that were set up but never run no longer disappear from the Rules screen
Ticking an individual under an office no longer ticks the office as well
New report – Fees & Payments – Changes Since Last Run, showing fees added, removed and expired since the last brokerage run
The Disbursements page now totals fees separately where the description is the same
Settings saved on one Options tab no longer overwrite changes made on another
Removing a brokerage import now reports when it cannot be removed, rather than appearing to succeed
A brokerage import that cannot record its import number is now stopped before any records are written
Dates in Fiducian and Hostplus files now read correctly for the 10th of the month onwards
Standard reports are now updated by the patch, so corrected reports reach you

Brokerage files that contain second-level income splits now complete correctly and show as fully distributed
The import total shown against those files is no longer overstated
Unticking a payee on the Distribution Preview now also excludes their fees from the run – previously the fees were still applied
Payees with no revenue this period but fees to deduct now appear on the Distribution Preview, so the preview matches the distribution run
The Distribution Preview now shows total distributed, split and retained amounts, with a totals row that follows the advisers you have ticked
The Distribution Preview now nets reversals and clawbacks for payees who do not receive GST, so the preview matches the amount paid
The income summary report now applies the “to” distribution you select
Searching by payee on the income reports now matches on any part of the name, rather than needing an exact match
A new report has been added, showing income by payee for a date range

We’re pleased to announce a new update which includes several improvements aimed at enhancing accuracy, performance, and operational reliability.

Improvements in startup speed
Distribution emails now zip and encrypt attachments
Email template has been split out to two fields, to allow easier update of email content
Brokerage file imports will now fail if either the account name or the account number is missing
Variable rate fee payments are no longer ignored if the brokerage total is negative
The ClientID is now displayed on the Client Listing to make it easier to find
Two new reports have been added
